American Fable is 2016 thriller written and directed by Anne Hamilton. It's the story of a young girl from the Midwest who finds a man in a silo on her family's farm. The premise is sort and to the point, which is my ideal sort of movie. There's nothing overly complicated about the plot or any of the characters. I found myself getting sucked into its creepy factor right away. As a person who grew up in rural Wisconsin, I found myself having a deep connection to the main character, Gitty. Hamilton wrote Gitty as a rough and tumble sort of kid. She is genuine character, something greatly lacking in modern horror and thriller films.
My suggestion: go see American Fable. It was on Netflix, and from what I can tell, now it's on Prime. It's a good creepy film and deserves more attention than what it has previously received.
...Stay Tuned...
