A Trip South

The mysterious Acambaro Figurines have plagued our history for the past few decades. Initially, I was highly intrigued by these simple clay figures created by our Mesoamerican ancestors. I mean who wouldn't be? The idea of dinosaurs living alongside humans has been a part of our media since before my grandparents can probably remember.
And that I why I say with a heavy heart that I must inform you that the Acambaro Figurines are fake. Ancient Mesoamericans would not have had any idea about the existence of dinosaurs.

First we must take a look at the science. Now, I’m not scientist, but I did take Geology 101 in college. From that class it is easy to see just how impossible it would be for dinosaurs to live alongside humans. The last dinosaur died about a million years ago. Our first real records of humans living in North America was about 10,000 years ago. Besides the difference in time, there is also a difference in atmosphere. If a full grown dinosaur were alive today, it would die almost instantaneously due to the the atmospheric pressure. 

Second, I will have to address who exactly benefits from the Acambaro Figurines being real. This would be Christianity. Now I have nothing against Christianity or Christians. Instead I am arguing against some radical Christians who are using alleged “historical” artifacts to further their doctrine. According to some Christians, the world is only about 6,000 years old. These same people point to the Acambaro Figurines as evidence that humans exhibited alongside dinosaurs. Personally, I think that if you want to believe that the whole universe is 6,000 years old, that’s up to you. I take issues with the fact that these same people are using historical artifacts to push their religious agenda.

Finally, I must look at the Ancient Alien Theory. Their logic is based on the idea that you have to first disprove aliens, so to be honest why bother? Sure. It was aliens.
