Unsolved Deepdive; Enigmas, The Green Children of Woolpit

The Who: This is a story I have come across quite a few times. back in 1135 two children appeared in Woolpit, England. Their skin was green. The boy died within days of the village taking the children in. The girl told the townsfolk that they had wondered through a cave from another world in which they lived in twilight and everyone had green skin.

My Thoughts: Aliens.

No, I'm joking, but that would be cool. I googled what can cause your skin to turn green and the internet said "Hypochromi anemia". I mean from what I can tell that would make sense. What doesn't make sense is the girl's story. To me it sounds like a lot of the traditional folklore from England in that time (stories of the fairfolk and such). Some say the children could have been Flemish and gotten sick from the ship ride over. And that makes sense too. Honestly, the best thing to do would be to give any remains a DNA test. I think that would clear up a lot of the issues.

....Stay Tuned....
